Privacy Policy

Information we collect

We collect account details such as your email address; authentication and security records; subscription status and Stripe customer identifiers; connected-device names, token prefixes, and last-use times; optional per-device character budgets; manually synced preferences; paid-profile pronunciation dictionaries, named settings profiles, and retained profile revision history; opaque project assignment identifiers and optional project labels; and usage and analytics records such as character counts, billing periods, device attribution, request identifiers, timing, and outcome. We do not upload local project paths, provider credentials, or spoken text as part of settings sync. For privacy requests, we keep the request type, status, verification method, relevant account and Stripe identifiers, processor status, and completion timestamps.

Text you ask TalkToCursor to speak is sent to our text-to-speech provider to generate audio. MindSyncTech does not intentionally store spoken text or generated audio in application logs or its database. Payment card details are collected and handled by Stripe, not MindSyncTech.

If usage-alert email is enabled, we keep your preference and limited delivery-outbox metadata such as the threshold, status, attempt count, and delivery timestamps. We do not include spoken text or audio in these alerts.

How we use information

We use this information to provide and secure the service, pair devices, synchronize settings, generate speech, enforce usage limits, show current and historical usage analytics, restore prior profile settings, send optional allowance alerts, process subscriptions, provide support, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

Service providers and disclosures

We use Supabase for authentication, data storage, and authentication email delivery; Vercel for hosting; Stripe for billing; Google Cloud for speech generation; Resend for optional usage-alert email delivery; and Sentry for privacy-filtered error and performance monitoring. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices. We may also disclose information when legally required or to protect users, the service, or our rights. We do not sell personal information.

Retention and security

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse. Privacy-request audit records are normally retained for three years. Profile revisions are retained for up to 90 days and the newest 30 revisions per profile. Usage-alert outbox records and Resend delivery logs are retained only as long as reasonably needed to deliver, troubleshoot, and document those emails under configured provider retention. Stripe may retain invoices, charges, tax, fraud-prevention, and other financial records as legally required after app data is deleted. You can revoke device tokens from the dashboard. We use access controls, encrypted transport, and least-privilege credentials, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

Signed-in users can download a JSON copy of their app-held data and a CSV copy of usage records, opt usage-alert email in or out, and permanently delete their account from the dashboard. In-app allowance alerts remain available when email is disabled. Deletion immediately ends app access and future subscription billing and does not automatically refund prior charges. You may request access, correction, restriction, objection, export, or deletion by emailing support@talktocursor.com with “Privacy request” in the subject. We may retain limited records where required by law or for legitimate security, fraud-prevention, and accounting purposes. You may also have additional rights under the law where you live.

Children and international use

TalkToCursor Cloud is not directed to children under 13. The service is operated from the United States, and information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate.
